Hey everybody. Nice energy you've got going on here.
Nik: Patch
My brief tech history:
70's: Atari. (At friend's. We never had one).
Early 80's: Arcades. Quarter on a string led to endless Joust.
1986-1994: Brother word processor/typewriter. Swore off video games.
1995-1999: Used Unversity computers at grad school. Still swore off video games.
2000: Bought first computer so my wife and I could hop on the interwebs.
2005: Bought Age of Mythology on a whim. Tried a few more games.
2007: Upgraded RAM in my Dell. Felt pretty proud of myself.
2008: Upgraded to an 8800GT in that same Dell. Felt real proud of myself.
July, 2008: Realized that I have 3 kids that will one day be teenagers. Looked at our friends with teenage kids and noticed that they knew far more about computers than their parents. Started to think about what sort of content there is online.......

Figured I better finally learn how to use these things FAST so I'm not stuck in the dark.
Decided to build my own. E8400 + P5Q Pro.
Sept, 2008: Heard about overclocking, so tried it. Promptly bought an aftermarket heatsink.
Jan, 2009: Decided I needed an i7 for the interwebs. Figured I should take the custom watercooling plunge. Fun. Bought a dremel.
Summer, 2009: Got a DICE pot from Duniek. Got mad at my Bloodrage baseclock issues. Heard about the PCIE mod and bought a soldering iron. Never soldered anything before, but when I get an itch I scratch it.
-80 started to seem kinda warm, so............dewar time.
Do I sound addicted?
