First for benching you won't have to worry about the REFS. For high fsb and clocks leave everything on AUTO, but vcore, vtt and pll. Ref's are only good for stability.
The Skews are more likely to be a place to look, maybe 900-900-0-0 or 800-800-0-50 etc.
What else you need help with? There are some basics on that board like: never disable cores thru BIOS, use older BIOS (F4 to F6), is it rev 1.0 or 1.1? DDR2 1Gb sticks are recommended. Board LOVES high PLL (leave on AUTO and reduce a bit when in BIOS).
That said I've only used this board with a Quad Core so I don't have any specific C2Duo settings.

aww might be the bios im on F10 and its rev 1.1 and i have 2x1GB Balllistxs
but ill try tonight when i get out of work or tomorrow moring but going to change the bios for sure
thanks didnt think about that, i dont think i was on that bios when i could get high fsb cuz the e8500 was easy to get 600fsb
