Need help looking up 4870x2 Asus top bios.

*EDITED* Modified 4870x2 Asus TOP bios, one with slight more voltage and stuff.

I can't find the bios I'm looking for. And I'm sure there are someone sitting on this bios:)

the bios should be around 790/915 defult or something.:)

Since we all know the 4870x2 is a dual-gpu card I'll need one master and slave. I got this HIS 4870x2 from release days for cheap, I've had some problems with it, and stuff. so I baked it for 7min, and seems to be running fine now.

But I'd like to get it onto a different bios, stock bios is shit!:)

Best Regards Kriztoffer

Thanks a lot mate!:) I've never flashed a dual gpu vga, scary stuff:D

I'm confused since the dude flashed 2x 4870x2 in crossfire, so there are 4x bios files:s

Make sure of the device location.... other than that, it's no different than single device....

Make sure to dump the old ones first in case of disaster!

:Hi:

True thing:)

To flash new rooms are:

atiflash -f -p 0 asus0.bin
atiflash -f -p 1 asus1.bin

But what are the commands to backup the stock bios?

you should be able to get a dump with a program through windows.... I'm a bit rusty with ati, but I know a windows dump can be done with nvidia cards using nibitor.

Using Eva's disk you don't need to worry about commands, this is what you do:

Boot into DOS and using Eva's files on a CD or Dos disk type:

backup0 (this will backup original bios on master);
backup1 (this will backup original bios slave);

update0 (updates master to Asus Top Bios)
update1 (updates slave)

If someday you need to return the cards to stock, using same disks you will type:

restore0
restore1

Simple as that...

Now THAT'S convenience! :thumbsup:
