Aaaargh!!!!!

I'm getting fed up w/ Comcast. My connection has been absolute crapola lately, and they tell me it's a known issue.

They said multiple times it is scheduled to be fixed in a 4 week time frame. Four WEEKS!!!! Well it's been 4. How the hell am I supposed to game after work with this shit connection?

I guess I should start hounding the main office in PA for a while. :keeporder:

Comcast = :thumbdown:

Do you have any other options? Time Warner Cable here in upstate NY.

I wish I did. Windstream is in my area, but they only have 3mb/s on my street. It's really tempting just to get my ping back to where it needs to be.

Like magic it pops back to normal. It seems to me the local server can't handle the primetime traffic. They will not tell me though..... I gues they think it might end up on a forum somewhere. :keeporder:

I was having that exact problem with my Cox connection here. Sometimes it was fast and sometimes it was slow. More slow in the end. So slow I couldn't even access the Speed Test site. After months of about punching my monitor with my mouse I called them out. Ended up I had a weak signal to my house. They had to go down the street and put an amplifier on the line or something. Everything is grand now. :D

With comcast you can check your signal strength yourself

Loginto the router at 192.168.100.1 record the specs and go to broadband reports or another site like that to get all the info you need :) At my Aunt's hers reports a little low (almost out of spec) but it still works so not complaining yet...

Suckcast is up and down like a Yo Yo in my area.

But they are the only game in town. One minute your pnwing killing everything that moves, the next you are target practice for the whole server

Shees .... in need of fiber in my area bad ...................
