Oh man that is nice for an 1866 kit. Nip that would look real good in your Classified fight12

Jeffro64 06-09-2009 10:51 AM

Nice... And yes they would look good on the Classy.

Chuchnit 06-09-2009 10:57 AM

That is really tight timings on 1866 ram. Definitely better than what Corsair is offering.

punx223 06-09-2009 11:13 AM

those are awesome!!!

DrNip 06-10-2009 09:01 AM

The Corsair GT's are about the same timings, 7-6-7-20. I am pretty sure those are Samsung IC's. I personally prefer Elpida's over them now.

Not sure about that buddy. I think the Corsair 1866 are 7-8-7-20. Plus I don't know of any other low voltage IC's that will do near as low of timings as the Elpida hyper chips. You know some good stuff I don't?

DrNip 06-10-2009 11:08 AM

I meant 7-8-7-20. I dunno if those are Elpida's though.

DrNip 06-10-2009 11:09 AM

Just confirmed they are Elpida's.

I'm a DDR3 2000 type of guy. If I had to chose I would prolly go with the Redline Ascent version as I am a lil more fond of the heatsink.

Mushkin Redline Ascent

and the regular

Mushkin Redline

Thanks Chuchnit for makin me give the Redlines a 2nd look.

Take a look at this thread now:

Kal-EL 06-10-2009 11:43 AM

The redlines looks good.

Gunslinger 06-10-2009 02:41 PM

This is my guess for the set at XS:

The redlines look nice also though.

DrNip 06-10-2009 02:56 PM

Nope but close.

Might have to roll the dice on a set myself.

I'm all about rolling the dice. That's because I'm also rolling on a budget :rofl I try to look around and find the cheap stuff that have good IC's and hope they clock as well as the binned stuff.

DrNip 06-11-2009 04:24 AM

There is a 6GB set of the same stuff for $149.99 or so.

DrNip 06-11-2009 04:39 AM

Redline Ascents inbound!

Chuchnit 06-11-2009 05:53 AM

Awesome nip!! I've always like Mushkin. Plus FWIW, they are American made!!

DrNip 06-11-2009 05:56 AM

I'm excited as I don't know of anyone to have them. I like being different from the crowd. I was trying to be different with the DFI mobo but had to get one of those Classy's as they are monsters!

1st impression of my new RAM pretty good. :D

This is the heaviest RAM I have ever held!

hellcamino 06-16-2009 02:06 PM

I had a set of Ascent DDR2 1066 that wouldn't work at all in my P5Q Deluxe mobo but clocked like a monster in an IP35 Pro.

Chuchnit 06-16-2009 05:30 PM

punx223 06-16-2009 05:49 PM

linky?

Chuchnit 06-16-2009 06:03 PM

He bought these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820226059

But these are the same with different heat spreaders: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820226058

Way cheaper than corsair and such.

DrNip 06-17-2009 04:18 AM

Here is a teaser. I am pretty sure I can get the latency down just a little and maybe the volts. DIMM volts are 1.65 and vtt is 1.35. Sorry there isn't more to this but I am so busy with two jobs now that with my free time I am trying to sleep. A full review to come as well as my Classy review.
