Fair Winds and Following Seas...
As some of you may know, I'm active duty Navy and have been on limited duty status for about as long as I've been on the team. A couple of knee surgeries and some recovery time later I'll be going back to a boat. Need to finish 2 more years of sea time before I'm up again for shore duty. And after that comes retirement :good:
As a sea going Submariner I won't have as much time as I've had to check the forums, let alone bench. I'll be in family, work, work, work, family mode again. Think its time for me to pull my head out of my arse and make Chief on this last sea tour, which will take up most of my time free. Just wanted to give you guys a heads up. I'm not leaving the team (the thought never even crossed my mind duders ;)), just won't be around as much after September. I'll pop my head in as frequent as I can for sure but it is time for me to concentrate on my career again. OCM  |
Good luck on your future endeavors.
|
Best of luck bro.............

USS Ogden collision 27 January 2002, less than a year after colliding with Ehime Maru and five months after running aground, Greeneville collided with USS Ogden (LPD-5) during a personnel transfer off the coast of Oman, opening a 5 by 18 inch (130 by 460 mm) hole in one of Ogden's fuel tanks and spilling several thousand gallons of fuel. After the collision, both vessels left the area under their own power. |
Yep. That be her. She is a good boat today aside from her troublesome past.
