Most likely Elpida J1108BASE : Kingston Hyperx lovo 1800 @ 1.35v 9-9-9
|
Ok, so what is with these? Since they are low voltage, does that mean they will run @ 2000mhz with 1.6-1.75v?
|
no results yet...just setting up the tone :D
as for 2000mhz... for specs it can do 1866 @ 1.35v @ 1.5v (dataseeht) i'm betting it can do 2000mhz |
So how do these new low voltage series of RAM do with 1.8v+? (Not necessarily these in particular, but low volt ram as a general class).
Sometimes need high vdimm to help cold bug. |
we shall see i don't mind burning 100$ LOL

Hey HC, do you know what the difference is in the Elpida Base and Epida Hyper is?
Are the Hypers stronger, or is there no real difference? |
all the elpidas are edj1108 series
first ones were edj1108BASE m(NH)-e ...remember the failures...these were them then came m(GH)-e A - means A die revision (70nm) then cam edj1108BDxx D - die revision to 50nm.... but anyways class/speed classifications: GH - highest GN/GL just under GH.....this is rated 1600mhz @ 1.5v DJ - example sf3d's kingston 2133C9(1.65v) ** the chips are rated based on 1.5v DJ is 1333mhz AE - slowest |

1.35v  |
oos now
oh well...time for another search |
Arent these the same as the Gskill Ecos?
|
the gskill ecos are ...i'm guessing are elpida bbse they don't scale well with higher voltage..

not sure what vdimm range you are talking about. but what i'm talking about is over 1.7v that yields good results because of overvolting.

Oh, I was talking up to 1.65v or so. Have seen 2100+ 6-9-6 or 6-10-6, I forget which. It was at XS.
With 1.45 I can do 7-8-7 1800Mhz prime stable, or bench around 6-7-6. Just sucks that was with AM3, and now on my i5 Im stuck at stock with them from the mem controller on this i5. |
am3 can't do high frequency yet...the imc just doesn't have the speed with higher memory...
2100 @ 6-9-6 sounds more like early psc... the elpidas can't do super low tCl @ high frequency... even if tRCd is delayed/softened |

Ive seen some AM3s up to 2300. Not as high as Ive seen 1156, but still pretty high. |
i just read the thread over @ xs
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...=239426&page=5 - limited max voltage - possibly bbse because of limited voltage - also possible psc of old revision... anyways its a different chip they're using from the kingston lovos. |

Gotta do high qpi/mem on p55 to equivilate that X58 stuff :) THought that was the benefit of going with a budget chipset. HC: Thought that thuban could break the 2K barrier? |
its not p55
its lynfield imc versus clarkdale imc... i remember ceil had a i5-7xx ...i forget |
Quote:
Do you disagree that p55 chips need more QPI and memspeed to = X58 setups? Or are you just arguing my terminology? (I think that is it.. since you said its not p55... its p55 chips...) Just curious |
He is saying P55 isnt limited to low mem speeds, its Lynnfield CPUs. I have an i5-750, not a clarkdale, which is why I cant get over 1600.
I knew it wasnt going to be really high, just dissapointed I couldnt get at least get 1800 out of it. |
Quote:
clarks are limited..not lynfield( 7xx or 8xx) **most of the highspeed ddr3 rams are tested with lynfield cpus... *** the top scores for the hwbot competiton august 4ghz will be on a lynfield because of the imc... |

I still have time to take it back to Microcenter and get a 760 for $10 more, think its worth it? |
what was your blck? memory subtimings as well?

None, its my daily gamer. Ill probably try for a good pcmark05 though.
The 750 I have it really good with low volts for stability, but runs kind of hot and has a shitty mem controller. With x8 mem I cant post too much over 200BCLK, think maybe 202, I forget. Raising volts and timings didnt help. Going down to the x6 multi is fine though. I cant even get 1600Mhz 7-7-7 instead of 7-8-7, though the ram is more then capable. |
i can't say if a new 760 would help...
i'm still wondering what your vtt and pcie is... also what is your mobo? |
