Need some 2000mhz cas 7 3x2gb recommendations
Need some fast ram for aq3 and spi32m primarily. I got burned once using the ramlist and paid out the ass for crappy IC's lol I think once the hyper death fiasco occurred most companies pulled it/ changed ic's but kept the same part numbers for the sticks.
Anyone have recommendations? Need atleast 2000 cas 7 3x2gb. :keeporder: |
Corsair Dominator GT's or GTX series
OCZ Blades (impossible to find) GSkill Perfect Storm (not sure which model number has the good stuff though) Kingston HyperX (not sure which model number has the good stuff though) |
so the 1866 doms are hyper?

I use storms that run @ 7-8-7-21 @ 4985....
Don't pay attention to the scores as I suck at SPI .................... :ohcrap: Can't speak to higher clocks thpough my friend as I can not get there All tohe super new +2000 crap is loose as a goose and prolly rebranded 2000 Mhz stuff anyway |
yes corsair 1866 doms are hyper.
As Mike said OCZ Blades are impossible to be found haha Better go with the 1866s or with the 2000s CL7. In case you want to spend more money the top choice is GTX. |
I should mention I have the 2000MHz CAS8 version of the GT's and they'll do CAS7 with only a slight bump in voltage. Pondering 6GB of the GTX though :D

Cheaper to just buy direct:
https://shop.corsair.com/store/default.aspx Or the CAS 8's from ZZF: http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/Produc...tCode=10010960 |
The muchkin redline 2000 8-8-7 are also hypers. I think nip pulled pretty good results with his set. They are under 300 at the egg.

I have the ocz blades 7-8-7-20 ... love em

Nice stuff... is hyper the stuff that hit 3000MHz effective?
EDIT: nope was micron d9's on LN2 :) |
not sure CMGTX2 3x2gb on the way :)
|
I got Corsair Dominator GT 2000Mhz CL8 6GB. They run 7-7-7-20 @ 2000 at stock DIMM voltage.
And I have no problem with 8-8-8-24 at 2200mhz at slight bump in DIMM Voltage, like 1.67 or so.. |
The Corsair GTX2s are Hyper so are the 2000C7s. For the rest of the parts most of the high end is hyper but not always. Really depends on when the part was made and what was available. You can always just check it versus the version number on the modules.
