Heard back from ASUS
Gene there is no confirmed ETA or project discussions currently. I assume this means it could be a few months. (which is kinda normal for the Gene right? Extreme, then gene then formula?) Sabertooth I did not receive and answer on yet, he did respond pretty fast though, I was at a funeral since 3PM though so this is the first I got to respond to his email. |

Just grabbed one. Great price as with gas it is about a wash for me. I think they were $ 349.99 with some shipping yesterday ??? That made it worth going to Philly. |
microcenter cancelled witchy? i'll order one then too from newegg...
|
yea 329.99 free shipping is a good price.
it is about 25.00 worth of gas for me to get there. so 296.97 + 25 = $ 321.97 and no three hour rpound trip. Yesterday they wanted $ 349.99 + 4.99 shipping or somethng making it worth the ride 329.99 no to bad. |
thanks ordered mine woot

Just hit the buy button on this beast.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131694 Not as good of power solution as the ME4 but better PCIe bandwidth. Being this is going to be a gaming rig this was paramount and the only other board thus far with 2x 16x slots was the UD7, poor implementaion of the slot location on the UD7 was the deal breaker and what can I say, I have to check out the UFI .... You can screen shot your bios FTW as I understand it. digging the industrial looking heat sinks should make a fine gaming board, and the board lay out itself is industry leading even better than the MX4 IMHO. Luving the PCIe power right next to the 24 pin instead of out in no mans land as well as the front USB3 header is ther as well to keep wireing out of no mans land for way Kool factor wireing OC potencial, well the jury is still out and we will see what happens as I will be using a very small ATX case, and a H70 with some upgraded fans will be be doing the dirty work. I would be please with 4.4 to 4.6 24/7 and from what I have been reading it is viable as I want to push the cards as hard as poosible. Anything under 4.2 I am afriad these things will be haning around tapping their feet. Comenplating using a 280 for physics duty but not sure the bandwidth hit is worth it. |
