OK...I wasn't asking what your board auto set your ram at 400mhz...Rated speed and timings please. Unless of course you run your ram at 10-10-10-30 1T @ 400mhz....

I read somewhere today that Kingston is doin the same. Maybe that is why my RMA's are taking so long.

This is all good to know as if my RMA set of Blades fails me I like how there is a no questions asked refund!

This is OCZ's official statement.

In regards to the potential issues relating to Elpida Hyper IC’s, OCZ has not yet seen extended failures in the field, and the Elipda Hyper IC’s we have used came from earlier batches so we do not yet know if this is the reason why we are not seeing field issues but as a proactive measure based on the latest information from media reviewers like AnandTech we have officially held the use of any Elpida Hyper IC’s at this time. Any customers that are seeing issues are encouraged to contact us and we will absolutely take care of all customers that with a no questions asked refund or exchange for another OCZ product of equal value, whichever the customer prefers. We want to make sure that our customers have peace of mind and the confidence that we will take care of any and all issues related to modules that utilize Elpida Hyper chips.
quite a step considering they aren't seeing the same amount of failures. kind of interesting actually.

thanks for the link BTW, was waiting for something from OCZ on this subject.

yeah, but i find it interesting that they are so quick to "held the use of any Elpida Hyper IC’s at this time" if they haven't seen "extended failures in the field". i don't know, just comes off a little knee jerk if they honestly haven't seen any failures leading me to believe they were sitting on this stance for when someone else officially took a stance.

DrNip 07-08-2009 04:07 PM

I think it is a lil more severe than what they are leading us to believe in the statement.

Afterburner 07-08-2009 04:15 PM

Yeah... this bothers me a lot now.... So I need to know... Are the RED mushkin going to be OK or not? If not what is the best RAM going to be???? I got $330 sitting here looking for a home!
