Is there more to it then setting 50x and having decent cooling?
(I need more time at home to play with x79 ...)

I don't know about the other boards, but the RIVE has so many BIOS options it gives e a headache :argh:

Splave, do you have subtimings for the GTX3?

PhIlLy ChEeSe 04-22-2012 04:45 AM

OK,
@Duke/Splave, So for quad channel(four DIMS) you use the black DIMMS on the RIVE? I thought the book said use the red one's?

I got my old mount from the X58 (water block) and it lines up with the holes on the MB, but the threads are different. How do you get around this? :ohcrap: Just put it all together.........
The CPU TIM I assume you use a little more as the CPU is so much bigger???
Feel like a noob!! :scared:
Thanks guys!!!!

I don't know about the Asus board. We are talking about the MSI board for MOA competition.

Use the red channels for the RIVE :D

If you got the RIVE new, there is a 1366 backplate in the box. Just swap out the back plate and your waterblock works. Otherwise, you need 4mm screws to thread the native 2011

it take a bit more if you are running 2400+ mem and 125 strap :D

The gd65 doesnt have a ton of bios options which is great! must auto set things properly because it was fairly easy and quick.
