How dangerous is DIce cooling?
Is an open window enough fresh air to allow for DIce, LN2 cooling in a room, or would a window fan be necessary? Or should I not build the bench station as part of my new desk, and instead make a fully portable unit that I can bench in the breezeway or something similar?
Thanks

Its recommended that when benching DICE+Acetone, you have alot of ventalation because the acetone is toxic.
You need less ventilation when using 91%alcohol in the place of acetone
Without acetone or alcohol, DICE is just released co2 into the room and it'd take a ton of it in a pretty much sealed up room to displace the existing oxygene and sufficate ur arse.
That being said, I close up my office, turn on the a/c to make it really cool, and bench with acetone and DICE. 8 hours later, I feel a lil like a happy paint sniffer w/out the headache. Acentone exposure (according to the cannister) is very bad for you in the long term.

Cool. Any performance differnce between 91% and acetone?
91% is cheap at walmart. Last time I bought it was $1 a bottle. And I would not have to worry about spilling it and ruining the floor lol.
But if we are talking 10C difference than acetone will really be the only choice :)

I don't have any hard numbers and only benched with alcohol a couple of times early on. Either way it gets colder than usual :D

i definitely have benched dice indoors... and im fine :Dizzy:
lol as long as you have soem airflow youlle be fine buddy... for the most part your venting CO2 which normally unless you have a high sublimination rate or are benching really hard and getting it very warm will not be excessive. not to mention the acetone running at -50 to -70 you will not even smell as you will be hedging off almost any chance of evaporation. you prolly wont even smell it unless your very close

both of LN2 and Dice will makes you exhuasted if you use them for a long time indoors . because they increase the percentage of Nitrogen in the air .
