Lets just hope you don't show up in your bathrobe, military boots and a stick you found on the way to the theater.

I think ur niece would enjoy it. Its basically that period in a youngsters life where sucking face and being popular is important. They manage to surround all this teenage stuff with a darkness but for the action scyfy types, it held too little magic. Its DVD worthy.

Of note was the Sherlock Holmes preview that was shown with IronMan actor "what the hell is his name again?". At any rate, that preivew looked good and I def wanna see that flick.

Gi Joe and Sherlock Holmes both looked good.

Movie was a real let down. All I could think of while watching it was, man the color and lack of sharpness sucks... at least the sound was good (just got back, took the kids to go see it)

Definitely wait for BD release if you appreciate high quality imagery :)

I liked the movie. My GF and I saw it twice now (second time was at the drive in, where you see two movies, so not sure if that counts lol). There were some funny parts in it, and it got most of the book right. There was a bit much of the teen love story in there, but its easy to look past. Not nearly as bad as most movies.

Only for non action movies. The FM radio stations suck, even with my audio setup in the car. For other type movies that dont need theater sound its good. The other movie we saw was The Proposal (GF wanted to see that, I wanted to see public enemies, you know who won), which was fine to see there.

I must admit my daughter (now in college) started reading the books and I  saw them laying around and started reading the books from the first to the last...My daughter came home when the last movie came out and wanted me to go with her and i did...The last movie was the weakest one yet.. I guess i got spoiled by the books...

I really liked the HP books...:blush::blush::blush::blush:

Its better to watch the movies first before reading the books as they tend to have more content in them and you arnt so dissapointed when the story line changes subtly.

I've read the series as well and I'm not into reading ;)

That's exactly why the wife didn't like the movie so much. She had read the book before seeing the movie and all I heard about it was they had skipped over so many details the book itself had that explained things.

I told her if they had tried to do all of that, it would still be in production today. there's only so much you can cram into a movie based on how long the movie is.

They crammed alot into the Lord of the Rings, which I enjoyed quite much. The time between sequels was too long for my taste and teh movies coulda been longer still ;)

Lord of the Rings movies (all 3) we're the closest to the book of any book then movie I have ever seen...I read alot and love movies but that was just a true work of art!!!:clapping:

Maybe that is why they took all the awards for 3 years running!!!
