I saw a referance to him in that OnePageBook ban thread, is he a cheater also ?
That seems like a pretty high OC to me.
No offence if I am mistaken :)

See anyone can take a CPUz upload screen shot, I don't think it checks for unusual clocks ?
It's just a tool to be able to post the spec's of a CPU.
How ever if he posts it at HWBOT and submits that score then it's a different story.
Lets check to see if he did...
Yup he did and see how far away #2 is from him score ?
Very questionable imo
From what I can tell from reading here and there, gonna have to see if I can find the links now. There have been some bugs in how CPUz was reporting clocks on some of the newer chips. Not sure if it was a 975 tho.
Well if its real thats insane, wonder if he would trade me for a W3520 :)
That doesn't really seem possible though. Always wondered why someone would cheat in that kind of thing

Makes you wonder why anyone would risk their reputation and their standing and membership in hwbot, just for 3.8 boints and some Epeen. ie onepagebook

Could be the sponsors were putting some heat on him for a top spot. I dunno, speculation prevails.

There are hints of 6GHz i7's out there. There was a comment on XS at the upcoming benchfest at Kingpin's place, that they were going to try spi1m at 6GHz.
However, Buckeye is right, this guy has been suspected before of fishy results.

I saw a thread were it stated Fuger hit 6ghz but the thread was deleted shortly after.

I believe it was a bugged cpu-z. I'll defer to the bot for more answers.

Pretty sue it was squashed pretty quick on XS

If it was squashed at XS and still on HWBOT as #1 ?
With #2 at 5.8ghz

That amount of V's is insane! The highest I have ever successfully used was 1.623....
So is it being suggested he Photo shopped or tweaked with some software?
I am such a noob.... I would be happy to clock a stable 5.0 for bench runs.... I can't even find 4.5!!!! sigh..........

IDK, he was banned with OPB from XS I guess so everyone is doubtfull.
Fugger has a 6ghz chip I thought. Def a cherry served on a silver platter from intel though.

If he was banned from XS then I highly doubt that score.
Doesn't appear to be banned but last activity on XS was.

might have been more of a parting ways type deal. Im sure 6ghz is out there though or will be soon. ES or not

6GHz is possible for a very leaky chip (intel throws away the leaky ones) as the leaky cores are very good for LN2 overclocking. it would most likely be an ES chip selected by a performance engineer at intel for a PR stunt.
chips in retail channel are binned for air/water OC not sub zero
hint, the best OC chips like 6ghz i7's are thrown away for being flawed.
6ghz is very possible but benching 6ghz is not... unless you have some very impossible connections at intel.
also I have noticed in CPUz 1.51 where i have validated flawed results in some cases 500MHz higher than what the actual chip was running (i7 975XE ES)
it is a problem with bios reading higer than normal BCLK

As to all the speculation, I believe this is real. Coolaler has one of the largest Asian hardware sites and has connections like all of us would wet ourselves for. Just because #2 is 200mhz away doesnt mean much. There are just freak chips out there.
My teammate slovnaft has a 965 C0 that did close to 5.6Ghz cpu-z... the next closest C0 is like 300+mhz behind. This is just a random retail chip too, no binning whatsoever it was the first he bought. I know he didnt cheat too cuz I was watching him do it at my bench party :P So before cheat accusations start flying, really look into things. Once the words are typed they cant be untyped hehe
