Unless you have the service pack on your install disk or sliptreamed, you'll wanna gun these after getting into windows to finish up installing other items. OR you can wing it with 1 stick.

Sometimes you can get away with an os install with 4gb but once in windows you get instability. So if you wanna continue to run 4gb while you upgrade to whichever service pack, you'd run this. NO?

I have an old retail version of vista Supes and it actually works fine if the machine is stable, I do of course install the service packs straight off though. With a pair of 4870X2's and 6gb of ram in my current pc as well as the cache from 6 hdd's, I would have to dismantle my pc to get under 4gb total installed memory.

Guess I was only thinking of myself :ash1: I have a disk with SP1 already installed.
