Sharing my latest pot, just have to get it to pass the leak test before polishing and finalizing.
I used a DD Maze5 GPU block for the base and plumbing pipe you can get from most any hardware store.
Last i made was too small and couldn't hold much DICE, this one goes from 2" down to 1 1/2" to the base.
Here's a pic of the internal base.
And the almost finished pot. I don't have a name for the pot any thoughts?

Sometime in your travels you might want to pick up a cheap vice. That way when you solder, you don't have to cook your work area. ;)
I'm all for DIY BTW. Good job. :)

3Dpot.
Only problem with using a vice is that the heat transfers to the vise making it hard to heat up the product enough to solder it. Thats what i've ran into when soldering my pipes at home when i did my water lines over..

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I had some life changing events like job, new car, first time home owner to settle into. So now trying get back into the OC scene, got a p67-ud4 going through RMA and a 9800gtx inbound just need to pick a few other things and remember how to run the benchmarks.
I was able to finish up the pot yesterday, past leak test and GPU mounting, pics below.

Well the pot works, used it on my 9800 since the CB was around -26c i didnt get to test it fully. Since it has a low mass copper base its really fast and a pain in the ass to keep at steady temps. Next time ill try to find a thicker base and cut down the 90 degree elbow so the DICE doesnt have to be worked in as much to make contact with the base.
