Another Hurricane coming at us. SUPPOSED TO BE THE WORST ONE WE HAVE EVER SEEN HERE IN THE NORTHEAST. Glad i put in a new pump in my basement. 2 yrs ago i had over a foot of water. Everything got ruined. And since we have had so much rain here in the past 4 weeks, the ground is soaked and can't handle any more water. It's going to be disastrous. :(

One thing I do when one is looming is to be sure all the vehicles are topped off and the obvious bit about filling up all the gas cans too.
I also used to take the bathtub and completely fill it for keeping the toilet in use along with a few jugs of water for drinking or whatnot. I used to have a well and that's why I did that, on city water now but even then I'd have a few gallons stashed at least.

Battery backup won't do crap. Need a generator. Another 1k if you can find one. They're all sold out everywhere.

I remember a few years ago when Nashville/Brentwood area got flooded, pretty much everything was sold out it was pretty crazy

Well, the tsunami was a dud here, no water damage that I know of. BUT! people were panic'd, fighting over gas pumps at the gas station, fighting officers at roadblocks, shooting off weapons for funzyz in residential neighborhoods cuz they knew police were bogged down with island wide evacuations of the shoreline population. And sadly a drunk driver plowed into some stopped cars at a road closure killing a driver and critically injuring 4 and traumatizing 6 others. Vehicle burst into flames, it was horrific. After all that, had to deal with big fight with drunk morons and be accused of overbearing conduct. Oh wut a night. How u guys dewin up there Duke? All WELL?

Strating to rain hard here as it is still 375 miles away.

If it hit 60 miles north or south of Atlantic city Lancaster PA will be hit direct on...... :ohcrap:

Everything is closed, even tyhe schools and shopping malls have all closed as well and exspecting 5 inches of rain in the next 24 hours, Winds are supossed to be in the 30 to 40 MPH sustained with 60 to 70 MPH gusts. Experts are saying the Lancaster area will be with out power for 6 to 10 days and completly devistated with flooding

Philadelpia will be hit head on as well if this storm track is acurate, this is going to be devistaing South Eastern PA

Best of luck to everyone in the path of this storm, as some are saying it will hit the eastcoast with a surge and force not seen since the Hurrcain of 1938

Duke hit the nail on the head, if you have accesss to a generator, get it ready to go ......

Lack Power will be the biggest catastrophy of this storm.

Be safe everyone the rains and winds are really starting to pick up here with forecasts of zero visibilty in the up coming hours

Rich, get the hell out of there bro
