Timings matter very little for 1m (ran with bbse 8-12-8-28 2600 and same score), change to 4gb bbse for pifast...was stable +.3 bclk higher then with 8gb team xtreeme...less imc stress perhaps.

^gd65 is good board just flash it right away to latest bios, dont boot very high and use control center to up clocks in OS :) Must install chipset and MEI drivers have fun dukie!

Im thinking the sf3d method is pretty interesting, he places the ihs less chip in the socket then places the ihs back on properly and holds in place while clamping down the hold down bracket. That way you can change the TIM over and over again but still get the pressure of the bracket. :thumbsup: I can just see myself fucking up the silicone and not being able to get it back off to fix it lmao :taunt:

remove IHS is really easy on IVB just remember not to dig Razor into Green PCB area of Chip.... keep it level or even point up a lil if possible.... the black is just like a rubber/silicone = easy to cut through once started the razor should just kinda glide through it nice and smooth.

also standard clear silicone will work fine but remember this stuff is not cement so can be cut off just like the black stuff :)

just dont use too much as some silicone can expand slightly and dont wanna make IHS contact worse than before...

If going for bench I would say leave IHS loose and hold on while loading so can be remove as needed.

re did it with gelid first time i used more then the 2nd time and it was worst with less paste, 1st time it had some about the die...

also notice some scuff marks i guess from the paste and holding down the ihs when clamping down the lever the ihs would move a lil and you can hear a lil crunch im guessing its the suff in the paste idk

Well it looks bad. I went from a no cb no cbb to a -150 cb and 130cbb overnight. How the fuq does that happen. And, i'm seeing alot of FF's and A3's stopping me from booting. Runs fine at 50x up to 55x that all shes got. I think I'm gonna send it back to the Egg for a replacement. I hope i get one. Really sucks... i have 200 liters of juce here.

I couldnt figure out why i wasn't passing the Physics test on 11. I finally figured out i was poushing to much voltage. Kept blue screening. Added more voltage still bluie screen. To some of this some of that. Still blue screen. Finally dropped it down to 1.78 and walla it passed. Dosn't like 1.8 vcore and up.
Lightning dosn't like more than 1.58. By the time i get this figured out i'll need another 230l. I suck.

used DOW corning 4....complete mess, 10x worse then vaseline...it doesnt change when heated and is not water/soap soluble ftl

OS was a bitch and wouldn't let me play with BCLK, only with multi's so the next step was at 6690 wich led to a 1M fail in the 10th loop....:D

all of a sudden now i lost my multi? Even in the bios? Highest it will go is 39. ftmfl.

You can see in the 2nd ss that i had 50x enabled via my saved profile but its not really 50x.

Yeah my other cpu is okay and it was thr cpu i got from rma :P

I removed the hs and put vaseline every where and heated it up till it melted and let it sit then put the hs back on

And started it up to make sure it would boot then shut it off then started to pour the ln2 to cool it down the set 105*50 1.5v

Then saw something glowing but it was to late it shut off

Mem is okay buy mb and cpu are toast it just powers up then off :(

Wonder if they rma a rma cpu :laughing: or just get that oc insurance
