I have an Amton RP 15 whole house pressurizer that needs a new pressure gauge and pressure switch. Any idea where I can get one? I can find complete units but not parts??

I can help you a little. The gauge is a common universal item. All you need to know is the range on the gauge and the thread size of the fitting. Any manufacturers gauge that fits your specs will work.
The pressure switch is made by another vendor, not Amtrol. You need to physically look for a tag or part number on it to use as a cross reference. Grainger should stock both these items.

These are common items that can be found at any plumbing distributor

Some of the items such as fittings could also be found at places that make hydraulic hoses since many do more than just that.
We have one here that if it's related to moving air or liquid through a hose, they've got it or can get it.
Really need to pop in one day and score some barbs for my setup......
Grainger is a great place and would probrably have what you need, other places such as MSC or Noland could have this stuff too (Not sure if Noland is a nationwide company) but here they carry most anything you could think of related to stuff like pressure switches - That's where I found the pressure switch for my well pump when no one else seemed to have it.

I got the part number from Amtrol's website - it's 2201-085. And there is a Granger less than 5 miles from here :D The unite does have a high pressure tube from the pump head to the control switch, hopefully it's still a Granger style item
Thanks Bros

They'll be able to cross ref the number to another brand. Good luck. :)

I found out that this part number is old. I ordered the part through a local dealer of Amtron's. 45 bucks shipped direct to me, while driving to Granger's I would have been able to get it for less. Found one that "looked" similar for 15 bucks, but ??
Now, my car just threw off the belt that drives the power steering, water pump, and generator ... much bigger bucks to worry about here. Just had scheduled service and power steering work done on it at the local BMW so I'm thinking this may be lawsuit time (may have blown the engine  ) waiting on the tow truck now :ohcrap:

Well, no doubt they feel guilty - gave me a 2011 328 as a loaner, and picked up the tab for the towing. Showed me where a pulley "fell off" causing the belt to fail, supposed to be done tomorrow for only a few hundred... keeping my fingers crossed  just in case, got the name and number or the perfect attorney to handle the job  what a PITA

That would be the timing belt, not the serp belt.;)
He's safe in that aspect.

You'll be fine. Keep an eye out for oil leaks, overheats, and crappy performance issues.
Overheating a motor till it won't run DOES do internal damage. They're only fixing the external stuff that they can see. Make sure that it's written on the work order that it was due to a shop error when the car was serviced, otherwise you'll be on the hook for any of that internal damage should something happen down the road. MAKE SURE THEY TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR IT.

well, the car ran great until I shut it off. Only warning light that came on was the battery lite, but, the little electric fan wasn't working - which they should have caught on the inspection. They aren't admitting to any shop error, they say that these pulleys tend to pop off (though I've never heard of it) and there's no way to know in advance short of pulling the belt and wiggling the pulley. I don't buy it at all, but if the head is warped it will be instantly noticeable. I've replaced warped heads on beamers in the past (personally :P) so I know what to look for.
My ex landlord of 10 years ago is a partner in a big Chcago lawfirm who told me to hire a certain firm that will work on contingency if I have a problem. Says most dealers will settle once they know you've hired these people cause they're tenatious bastards who always win
Block and head are now both aluminum, so hopefully no warpage - but, they're an hour overdue in calling me with the damage report, which ain't good :ohcrap:
Hope everything turns out in your favor bro ;)
So did you get the other thing fixed ?

I have a part on order for the pressurizer, once that gets here I'll find out if it makes a difference or not. I was reading up on these things and they're more complicated than I had thought :Dizzy:
Just got the car back, seems to be fine, but, call me a conspiracy theroist if you will, but they reduced the bill from $902 to $426 ... very very suspiscious to me. So in total they picked up over half the expense with the towing charge added. I don't buy it. If the engine goes south, I go to court  We'll see

Part just got here via UPS - not bad, overnight for 15 bucks.
It will have to wait for the weekend when the wife is home in case I screw up and need an ambulance
