Pretty nice, different and depending upon the performance, innovative.

Price??? I was looking at buying a new pot, might grab it if its lower than the Gemini, :D

Thanks :)

It's definitely more expensive. It takes around ~9h of work to finish one of these babies. No offense but the base of the Gemini is done by 1h of CNC drilling holes.

Price depends on shipping but will be around 350$

Totally stopped, or just on a break? If I figured I needed a new pot, it was probably gonna be an Otti.....

If this is the quality you're kicking out, my shortlist just got longer :p

It was about 2 or 3 weeks ago. He posted on AF-Forums that he just finished his last two pots and is not going to build any more. He said that it's just not fun anymore to build them and the profit is just not worth it compared to the effort.

You can just also check my other threads e.g. on XS

No it's more designed for chips with cb. the mass of nearly 3kg is quite massive to hold the temperature.

Well quality got it's price. And don't forget that copper is not cheap

Send the design to Poland bro, raw stock prices seem to be cheaper over there?

Yup.. Teh good stuff is always out of my price range. :(

Interesting, I assumed with all that surface area it was designed for wicked fast temp changes. I got a lot to learn about POTs apparently LOL

I like the mounting.

Always appreciate manufacturing images. Drilling. Splashing. Who could ask for more?

Low mass + high surface = fast temp change
High mass + high surface = moderate temp change (I prefer that)
High mass + low surface = slow temp change

Especially for the start cool down you need a high surface. Otherwise it takes ages to cool down that amount of copper.

super looking forward to it!

Depends on shipping. Must be around 300$. If someone would like to make a review of this pot. Price would be a lot lower. Just sayin :D

Might finish the other 3 Pots on Monday. Will take some more photos of the manufacturing then :)

I hear ya....I reckon it would be really satisfying to watch that being CNC'd :D

You're a bad influence... what kinda review you thinking of? Vs Otti Xtreme R4? Vince' Gemini? Petris Inflection Point?

I doubt that as only about 30% is done by CNC :D It starts with drilling the 17 holes which takes about an hour. Then the milling cutter which you can see on the picture removes a lot of the inside.

The result is this:
http://i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd496/der8auer/BEAST/20110415_006.jpg

Everything else, including the Aluminium Tops I'm doing by myself on a non-cnc turning lathe.

I'd just like to see how it performs compared to other Pots (especially Kingpin, Petri, Otti Pots). And it's better to have the opinion of somebody else about this BEAST.

Plus I'd just like to see a nice Container Review :D

If I had any of those, i'd try and sweet-talk you into giving up a pot for review.... but I don't :(

i get unlimited free access to LN2 anytime during the week and take it home and swim in it :rofl

biggest bang for your buck would be getting Splave, RomDom, Supes, or Dentlord to do the review. If they're not up to it...... Got 2 dewars and Airgas is only a mile from the house ... :D

Just a liltle off topic question.

What CNC machine are you using?

Looks like a Deckel Maho of some sort?
