Water cooling quad sli gtx-580s and wondering if 1 d5 pump is enough for it to work. It will be 4 blocks and then to chilled radiator in ice. Goal is 1000/1200 on the cards which is possible on stock direct CU cooler but that doesnt fit in quad sli. I dont really want to split the loops up but that is kinda looking like whats going to happen. Would be kinda dumb to have the first card be nice temps and get progressively terrible x3.

Buddy I'll have to look it up later, but I just saw a chart showing how restrictive those mcw80's are. It cuts the flow rate in half vs the 60's I think. I'm gonna say no since your gonna run cold slushy water in the loop too.

I would roll with two loops bro..... I think temps would be terrible

if you can get the desired clocks with the air cooler then one could be in the last slot .... hit us with a pic of the ..... shhhh expander

That may shed some light on ideas

could that also go on air and roll with just two on water ???

hmmm.... not that i can see

I wouldn't especially on high OC. Not enough space between the cards imo. Dual-loop on the gpu's would prolly be the best bet, but that's just me - what I would do

I've run 4 MCW60s + a NB block with one D5 just fine. Dunno about MCW 80's.

But you're thinking about this all wrong.

I have 3 fiesty slims sitting bored in my garage right now. :cool3:

alright going with XSPC RASA GPU blocks, they are restrictive but..
A.Dont make me buy a freakin adapter for a universal block that doesnt fit current cards
B.Two seperate loops it'll be fine
C.Nice mount and dont need to change out plates if I want to use them on different mounting style cards.
D.Low profile and thumb screw backside design :)

for sure :) I hate breaking down a whole loop so I can put a 8800gtx/gtx-285/5770 on it....let alone finding the right plate for it :X (I have a mcw60 atm)
