What is the CG for the MSI Big Bang X-Power?

Look between the first two PCIE slots for a chip with the ICS number on it.

Here it is on the R3F

It must be somewhere else. I don't see it. I'll find it I bet.

The only thing I find that resembles the chip you referred oto is over just below the battery but it doesn't have an ICS #. What it says is.............Fintek on the top I think.

Anyone know where to find the clock generator on the MSI Big Bang X-Power?

The Fintek Chip is an LPCIO controller it handles things like PS/2, metering, serial ports etc.

I tried looking at other reviews but they do not see mto pay attention to what ICs are on the board so its hard to get a good image up and loaded.

Based on what I can see on the web though, it is possible that the IC is under one of the heatsinks. My guess would be IOH as they always seem to be rather close to the socket.

out of curiosity. Is there a reason you cant use the OC dashboard device?

not by the bios chip either?

No it works fine....but I've read you can sometimes get more with SetFSB, and I'd just like to have the option available.

Could you reduce the size of the picture ...it's got my screen stuck on superwide in this thread....it's weird.

Dunno where the BIOS chip is.

Options are good :)

It is possible that since they included Hi-C caps they might have an entirely new type of Clock generator as well. I am not up on all that tech stuff. setFSB has not been updated since last year, so if it does use a new tech, it wont be available for a while on that app anyway.

Have you tried going through the X58 PLLs in setFSB to try and find one that works?

I tried the X58 Eclipse one but I don't think it worked. I adjusted it and cpuz didn't change.
