Agreed the 200 series at the end of the day was a great GPU
but the 4K series way out sold it with an early release
Same MO for the 400 series and the 5K series
For us we simply buy all of them but early adopters just playing games have no reason to buy a 400 series card as the 5870 will pwn any game out there. with the 6K series coming in the first quarter of 2011 nV could be in real trouble as this would make the third gen of AMD R & D beating nV to retail with new parts ........
if nV stance is to split market share with AMD they better match release dates of new tech.
I am afraid nV has made the same mistake as Intel did ...... taking AMD lightly is a mistake in judgment AKA Athlon 64 style
Will the chip giant retaliate as Intel did and squash them or is it to late
I hope not as feirce competition is good for us making these bastards play their trumpf cards every release .......
nV is basically living on the overclocking community and fanboys ........ talking strickly on high end parts of course ....
The low end stuff I can not speak to ..... Shanon could prolly shed some light on that
