A nice guide from the guys at OCZ. This is for Sandforce based SSD's like the OCZ Vertex2. Not Indilinx drives which use Sanitary Erase. I'd reccomend doing this between Operating System installs to keep it fast and clean.

FOR OCZ SANDFORCE DRIVES IE: Vertex2/LE/Pro, Agility2, and Vertex2/Agility2 EX Drives

GParted Live (http://gparted.sourceforge.net/livecd.php)

Has PXE boot, USB stick and CD versions.

Boots up a Linux live environment and then you click the windows button (hah hah) system applications HDD erase.

There is also a partition manager in there that lets you format NTFS with offset. I have not played around with the advnaced features yet but I probably should. (Boot to CD, erase, partition NTFS with 32K cluster size for Vertex2 and then install...)
