correct it is not soldered to the IHS, NVIDIA uses a blue colored soft paste TIM

I've frozen my 480 w/o removing the chip, so, I guess my question is "why" :blush:

This is so true with me all the time in about every situation I come across. Otherwise I would be rocking a Dell, not overclocking and not talking to you guys.
