Wonder if this will be single rail too?

confirmed not... like corsair ax1200

Honestly is this new Antec going to give any real benefit over the TPQ1200w other than efficiency?

voltage regulation is tighter ...

Antec was eager to discuss the response time of High Current Pro. Simply how fast the power supply reacts to changes in the voltage. Using full bridge phase shift topology design the power supply reacts in 50ms, which is claimed to be much lower than most competing products and further improves efficiency.

response time is Godly...

i tried loading my 1100 gold psu...response time to 400W load is more like 500ms or 1sec....

You care to indulge what you do for a living and how you got access to all this sweet ass test equipment?

how does this stack up against the evga/antec psu

its really 4th on my list right now...

the x750 has very bad voltage regulation at full load...12v rail drops to 11.7v

the antec 1200tpq has slow response to 50% load...the power cache helps ..but still slow response..

here's my target..
1. antec high current 1200(not tpq) ....50ms response time is just crazy....it won't need powercache
not sure if they'll release this soon..they're still making lots of money with the 1200tpq
2. corsair ax1200 server grade...prolly really really good...review already revealed alot of good points to it. corsair made lots of money with the hx1000 ..they know they would sold thousands of the hx1000, now they'll make more money with this uber good psu..
3. coolermaster pro gold 1200....this is enhance's gold edition...tweaked for gold...single rail mastery... from enhance...voltage regulation seems tight..but no review yet...

4. seasonic x1200....coz of x750 having bad voltage regulation...

That's one hell of a shopping list.

lol

not really a shopping list....my psu list..i think i used the wrong terminology lol "not target"

more like virtual ranking?

but yeah i'll get one of the four after they've been reviewed...release dates are july for some

antec will be later though...

i still have a potent 84A single rail..with tight voltage regulation..so definitely ok for me to wait :D

new eta: Q2 of 11

im guessing they tweaked it to 1200 of platinum power :D

just guessin...

even jonnyguru is guessing platinum

The delay is because these units are supposedly going to be 80 Plus Platinum.

I'll have to see that to believe it. Regardless, it's going to be expensive.
