Good luck with that mate! Like I said in the other thread it should be no problem with the X58 ram. I ran out of time for today benching but tomorrow is E8700 + EP45T-USB3P and SuperTalent CAS8 2200Mhz time! When the combo performs it will be o1 and 03 time with the modded GTX470.

I'm still deciding on the NB cooling. I mean the P45 runs so cool any way and I pretested the FSB already. I can hit 600FSB stable and 630 CPUZ on stock volts. Seems like there is no need to go all out on the NB. I might throw water on it just to see if this makes any difference.

Yeah I tested on a 7 multi so we so how she runs when I slam 2V in there. Also CB is my FEAR since I'm on cascade so she needs to be good for at least -125C ;)

The only thing the cooler NB will do on the P45 is probably allow for tighter PL. X48 does run a little warm though.

Yeah I remember the old good days of the BLackOps and the NB on LN2. It made sens to use it on X48.

That's one board I wish I had got to play with. I still wonder if that board could have competed with the REX if it had proper bios support??

the northbridge is around 50w over 1.6v...slapping a pot is easy...no need to go -90c just -40c....is good..and you don't need to over insulate...
once its subzero you can pretty much push the nb...
ln2 on p45's northbridge
