Got this email today from TankGuys.

TankGuys Newsletter - May 11th 2010, 2009

Due to popular demand, we are starting a trial run of pre-tested CPUs. We currently have 2 Intel Core i7 930's available. We test for the minimum voltage required to maintain stock speeds, and the top speed we can reach at 1.375v. All test settings and results are printed on a test log, included with each processor. Stability is tested via 25 runs of max memory use in Linx. Our tests are not meant to indicate 100% stability or absolute maximum overclock - rather, they are meant to be a quick and general comparison. The ides is to give our customers some guidance, but leave the majority of overclocking options/settings to be explored by the user.

Intel Core i7 930 D0 Stepping, tested to 4.3 Ghz - $289.99 (http://www.tankguys.com/pre-tested-cpus/intel-core-i7-930-d0-tested-4300mhz-1.html)
Intel Core i7 930 D0 Stepping, tested to 4.4 Ghz - $294.99 (http://www.tankguys.com/pre-tested-cpus/intel-core-i7-930-d0-tested-4389mhz-1.html)

Enjoy!

think this is cool for water guys, etc but I still enjoy getting lucky and playing the lotto. Atleast they are using a proper testing method! :)

I don't think they'll do that for long.

Tremendous amount of effort for extremely little financial gain.

I like the tank guys, though. A rare online setup that will do D0/C0 batching if you order from em (at least they have in the past).
