So I just got my new rig in on Monday ($390.07 in duties) and it came with this Corsair Cooling Hydro Series H50 High Performance CPU Cooler System all in one water cooling system. I've only ever dealt with air cooling systems so water cooling is completely new to me.

As far as I can tell, it cools better than the Cooler Master V8 but it still makes me wonder.

So since it's competely self contained, what happens if the coolant becomes muddy (i've heard horror stories about water becoming muddy and destroying computers) what happens? Can you even replace the coolant?

What do you guys / girls think about the entire system.

H50 Is like a good air cooler.

The only kit I know of worth anything is the swiftech kit that includes normally DIY components packaged together.

Stick to straight distilled plus a silver srping in your res is all the coolant you will need to worry about. The Dyes and other stuff clog up the blocks.

Get a megahalem, bout the same performance as most water cooling kits.

H50 is decent, make sure you mount it with enough pressure or have hondacity come over and hold it down for you while you bench rofl ;) good times

QFT and there are several better sinks out there now than the Mega and cheaper as well. The Nautilus 500 should have been revamped as it was a really good all-in-one back in the day.

Th H50 is good enough for about 4HT on an i7, not much more then that (stable anyway).
However, you can usually find them for $50, and since it comes with mounting for every major socket, its a good deal. You can get some bigger tubing and a res for cheap to put on it which will help, and even add another rad to help some more.

Though to me, if you are going with air, the CM Hyper 212+ can be had for $25 and is by far the best bang for buck. The difference between that and a $70 cooler is slim, and if you are going to be spending that much, Id just go with a custom loop.
