I dont have time right now to mess with this but compare pins on the 470 (http://www.onsemi.com/pub_link/Collateral/NCP5388-D.PDF) and see what shamino did there. 480 should be similar.

Patch
04-21-2010, 11:44 AM
That looks like it may need a VID mod, not a FB mod.

On the 5870 Lightning, a vcore hard mod requires cutting off the link between up6225 and up6266 to give direct feed voltage to the processor without going through 6266. Then moving the vid resistors around the 6225 to change vid.

Don't know if the 480 situation is analagous, but maybe someone with more circuit knowledge than I have can use the info.

Hope somebody cracks it before mine arrives.

The 8316 uses the VR10/11 VID tables. So, the VID mod will not to be hard to figure out.

The assignments will be similar to the VID table I mapped out for Patch's Lightning.
Kinda like this.

If someone has a DMM and will do some measurements for me, I can help map the VID table for this IC to. I need another pic of the IC and surround resistors.

Nah, my wall right now is the CB and OCP. If I can get rid of both of those, Ill worry about caps again maybe.

The newest gpu-z has a command line option to remove ocp I think, need to find out what value to write and try it out!

gpu-z fix doesn't work at all for me. I tried the newest build last night where you can set the ocp as well, nothing helps in the slightest.

Looks like Zowner used bios hack to remove ocp/ovp and raise voltage limit, then hacked Smartdoctor to set volts. We can do all this already with the new E-leet (or the new gpu-z) and the unlocked Precision.

benchzowner proly used nbitor 5.6 and edited the bios..

I paid for and got the new NiBitor and there is nothing at all useful that I could find, there are two options that allow you to edit voltage tables and clockrates for Fermi, nothing else.
