Ok guys, here is what I have been up to lately. I got sick and tired of my benching hardware being tied up in my everyday web cruiser. So I set out on a mission to build another PC about a month ago. What turned into just needing a few parts here and there turned into the usual over the top overclockaholic build. It has been close to 2 years since I built a PC in a case. I have a little one on the way in about 8 weeks and an open case PC just didn't settle too well with me and a little one running around the house prolly within a year. I just kept seeing little fingers poking here and there and getting hurt. Now that my benhing hardware is free I plan on getting back in the groove of things. Enough chit-chat and here is what is packed within this.

As well as the whole setup on individually sleeved power cables.
Parts already on hand:
Core i7 960
GTX 295
Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
Plans are in the making of either going with the next gen Fermi or 5890.
Sorry about the crappy photos as it is late here and lighting isn't right. I will try to snap some more professional pics soon.

That's my old Lian Li case I was originally going to use but just couldn't stand things about it. The main gripe I had about it was the silver color inside. Got this Lancool by Lian Li yesterday for 2 1/2 times cheaper and it is about 2 1/2 times better than the Lian Li! That's why the week long delay of getting this thread posted, waiting on the new case to show up.
This weekend I am setting up my bench station and pot will be hooked up to it 24/7. Finally going to bench all these 8 series cards I have laying around. Who knows maybe I will finally get to some of those 7 ghz + chips benched too I have! ROFL. Pics of this to come soon.

Still need to get some new RAM for it too but I can still a stick here and there when needed for now. Damn RAM went up in price for some reason. Set of Cas 8 DDR3 1600 non Elipda Corsair is the same price I paid for these Mushkins!

Snagged a set of RAM. Wasn't too big on the idea of opening and reopening the case to steal the RAM for benching. Not to mention my Mushkins aren't meant to be ran at 1600 MHz day in and day out. They were meant to fly.
Here is what I snagged.

Now it is complete. New pics when RAM comes in next week.
Glad to see you up on it man....
How long before the next sub0 run?

Yeah I still have that, my 8800 gtx and 8800 gt to pick up on. Won't be able to get as high of clocks now due to weather being hotter but still have some rap-age to get. Quit messing around and get this Asus P5B Deluxe modded and I will be shooting for 8 ghz in 2d land.

Did a little upgrading. Bought the new MSI X58A-GD65 X58 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Mobo
Military class w/ onboard USB 3.0 & SATA 6Gb/s (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130294) but just wasn't satisfied with it. It's on its way back. Should have stuck with my 1st choice, the EVGA FTW 3 but after my experience with EVGA on the micro Mobo side I was kinda scared too. What can ya do. I will have the FTW 3 in the end. My current mobo only has 4 sata 2 ports which is a drag. Kinda sick of the Sata 3 hype and going to go with 4 Muskin Callisto's for my rig as I am really impressed with them. Prolly throw this Crucial C300 in the HTPC and take the two Muskin's out of it and pick up two more and I should be cooking by then.
Picked up a EVGA 460 GTX and will pick up another one in a week of two.
2712
Also going to be downgrading to a 750 w PSU. One of those new Corsair Gold editions when they drop. 850 watts is too much for my rig.
Stay tuned for the next episode....

Nice setup
Which reminds me I need to get my stuff off of the Dimas bench and back in the TJ07. Man I have been wanting to do that for so long now LOL
Thats a good system and great for anything you want to do. I end up throw so much suff on my rig and it becomes a catch all of games, programs etc that it gets to be a mess.
the P6X58D mb has 6x sata3 2x sata6
but nice rig :good:

Yeah I'm starting to dig the whole case thing in all again. I've built two other micro PC's with i3's in them in the last month and am getting hooked. All bench equals no fun sometimes because I miss building computers. I'm thinking my Sandybridge build will be with a micro ATX crammed into a micro case with some boss hog GPU's and SSD's! Little, compact and packin a punch. Need to get my games installed on this PC and get to rippin.

Sure bleeping does. Squirrely bastards threw two Sata 2 ports in at the bottom of the mobo away from the others I over looked this whole time! Thanks DOM. Saved me money bro. I owe ya man.
NP bro thats the mb i got ;) only thing that sucks i heard it doesnt do RAID on the sata6
