For reference this is the final cost for my 160l from Airgas. Their policy is that you get the tank for the month. If you get the tank on the first of the month then you get to keep it until the end of the month with no extra charge. Its NOT a 30 day lease it goes by the month. so if you get the tank on the 2nd week of the month then you still only have it until the last day of THAT month. A daily charge is added after the last day of that month if you want to keep it longer. There is a lease program but i didnt look into that because i plan on using it up before the month ends. The cost is 160.00 for the 160L tank then the Hazmat, fuel surghare and so on. It ends up being $208.00.

$208 is not bad for 160l
Might have to check them out once i get going again, do they bring the tank or do you have to supply the transport ?

Massachusetts. Yup not that bad. ends up being 1.30 a litre. That price is delivered right to my door. If i went there with my 35 litre it would cost 8 bucks a litre to fill it.

I hear ya. I knew that and I told them that and they pretty much told me to go there and get it. But there are laws about crossing state borders with hazardous materials.

You would think a big business like Airgas would have a price list which would be pretty much good for most of the states but going from $8 a liter to $1.35 is a "little" crazy.

Thanks for that info.
How ever it seems that all Airgas operate differently. They charged me $10 a day for both tanks that I had.
But having more stuff like this is good, so when we go into these places we have ammo.

Filling my 32l dewar here costs me $23.90. Talking with the guys last time I filled it and they told me they lose more of it than they sell. They told the story of how using it to brand cattle with LN2 instead of hot irons has made a big come back. You have to shave and prepare the spot before using the "cold iron". Eventually the hair grows back, but the hair color is from then on white. Less stress and less chance of infection for the cattle.

Cool cattle info Rick.
And thanks for the invoice.
Airgas charges me $6.50/L here to fill my dewars, but I found an upstart mom and pop welding place that sells to me for $2.00/L.
I have a 25L and a 30L and it seems like a good amount to buy and use before refilling. I occasionally get tempted to pick up another 30-35L dewar (don't want to manhandle a 50L around), but then I think the waste before use numbers would get too high. I'd love to have 160L sitting around.

So it's $200/month right? I don't like to feel that pressure to bench but if it suits your needs Duke it's cool. Can you keep it permanently if you lease it?

Unfortunately i live in taxachusetts. I get hit for all kinds of stuff. It's my only option so they've got me by the gonads. I'm going to have to hit this dewar with everything i have quickly so i don't just piss it off into the atmosphere. That will be no problem i have a ton of hardware to use up. My biggeest problem is time.

I've just hooked up with another connection "CryoWeld" they're a small family owned business in NewYork and i'll be getting a 230L Stainless Steel Dewar for the same price as the 160 from Airgas. And it will be ful and not leak all day long. I'll post the Invoice when it comes.

Costs me $24.70 to fill my 35 liter at Airgas.
To lease a 160L would cost me 62.50 for the LN2, $1.50 per day rental, and $25 bucks each way delivery /pickup. And I hear the 160s vent like a mofo? And I got stairs everywhere, can't roll a 160 up or down  I think another 35L would work out well
