My friend picked up my E760 two days ago, after one day of use he take it apart and screw the board...like he did with a 5870 three days ago.

He often calls me 3 times a month, my computer don't start/work etc etc everything from pump is set wrong way in the waterloop, pumping the wrong direction.
or a missing/bad powercord...I've told him about what he should check each time things like that happen, like all the small checks you can do.
Nah, he calls me and ask what he should do.. And he never admit anything, he's never done anything to the hardware. 99% of the times he have been sticking his fingers onto it or done something, but never admit anything....

He's still a good friend but this time id like to give him a lesson, cause I still got RMA on the board if I like....but he should soon understand he need to take care of hardware. I need to tell him things 5-6 times before he understand, its freaking annoying.
AND READ BEFORE USING, cause sometimes I think he's stupid as a cow...

Anyway, the E760 boots up, run fine but the onboard pc-speaker is screaming. could he just kill it or desolder it?

Crakheads with computers...

I would recommend updating teh bios first Kriz. Then load the newest mobo/chipset drivers, then the audio (realtek)drivers. If this doesn't repair the problem, has he tried a different mic? prob seems odd. Good luck with your butthole friend.

sounds like your friend has a very bad habit on his hands....

sounds like a possible ground loop.

what happens if you plugin a mic into the port? possible internals could be making soem contact

I was thinking the same! But I have a little clue, this guy might have a sleeved PSU and when I'm on it...I doubt he knows how to do it....

You must have too much cash giving a $400 board to a total NOOB who is a even bigger noob with his hands! Other than that I would try a CMOS reset or what Splave said but I'm afraid you friend will pierce the CPU socket and you really will have to RMA.

I really doubt CMOS is the failure...
Cause he took the setup apart again today, and probably wanted to put it into his case.. I know he bought a sleeve kit from murdermod to freaking fantastic mod his psu. if he did, I bet he destroyed the 24-pin, and I probably get why the 5870 is dead, might be the sleeve psu....

But the problem is, when I ask what have you done? He says nothing, like he's shy to tell me...Cause it's probably something noobish
