None of the codes its throwing are really of any consequence. Its annoy as hell.
It cycles a bunch of codes and reaches 00... which is a code in the booklet, except in the booklet it doesnt cycle through codes... :ohcrap:
wtf... 00 is an FF. The manual says nothing about this.

DFI has one thing in common across all platforms (even AMD oddly enough) MUST COOL THE CHIPSET!!!
As for post codes.. 00/FF sounds like something is not setup right. you do the usual? 1 stick of ram no hdd/ODD boot up?
Get into bios setup options and go from there?
DFI. is FTL or FTW unfortunately.. i know you are limited based on your location but we could have suggested a much better setup for you, DFI can make some great stuff. But it is so HW specific. Even more so than ASuS
Dunno in the US the only price difference between X58 and P55.. is the motherboard cost...(if you consider equivalent chips) and you can buy used and negate that. The memory cost is negated by the fact that you need faster dual chan then you do triple chan (duh) you can look up the review on overclockers.com (not just bandwidth related but latency wise.. (much more important for desktop usage and why AMD kicks ass so much.. haven't seen many 35ns latencies on Intel I had mine 5-6 years ago.) Dual chan DDR at 250MHz (500 effective 2-2-2-5 on a via K8t800 pro chipset :) ) Loved every minute of that performance
I am not criticizing your choices mind you... we are limited to what we can afford after all. Some times is helps to have a buyer or do some HW flipping though. (I have a feeling I am going to flip my incoming bloodrage for a classy though I cant afford it lol)

I fixed the error codes i was getting. I did a bios update and it fixed most of my issues except the one i mentioned in my other thread relating to the SSD. ;)
As for hardware choices, i would have loved to go X58(which i may in the future), but this is my bench rig which was sent to me by a colleague and business partner of mine as a platform for benchmarking.
