its prolly designed to handle the power requirements of the pci slots independantly of the motherboard and then feeds the info back thru the mobo pci slots.

I'm not sure if latency issues arrise or not. Hipro has had his ddr maximizer on market for quite some time and I believe sham has a bunch of similar equipment in his mobo dungeon.

Or if you have a board with no PCI slots you can still run the iRam stuff
