Well, I did not want to go out last night, but I did.
We hit the Irish pub at 6pm. went to the party at 7pm. hit some clubs and back to the pub in the wee hours..
Just getting home at 8am and realize a couple things...
Kids today have no stamina.
And car bombs are totally a girls drink :)
But I was drinking light beer for most of the night (guiness)
Oh 3rd thing I realized.. you know its a fun place when it is busy at 4+AM :)

I was just telling my wife last night "Remember when we used to go out drinking and come home after the sun came up?"
Her reply "No, you stayed out and I went home"

I don't bother going out anymore:( it is fairly simple for me. I get carried away and at 6AM I am ready for another 24! I cant live like that with 3 kids at home so I will stick to my tequila at home:( Most of the old crew (from the 80's) are dead, in jail, running from the law or just so sorry I don't want to be near them anyway.

Know a few from my past in the same boat and it's the same for me. Frankly I'm suprised I didn't wind up in the slammer on a few occasions myself BUT managed to get out of it everytime somehow.
Don't do stuff like that anymore and now most anything I do is right here at home or at someone else's house and that's about it. When I start, I stay where I'm at rather than be out and about taking a real risk.

Wisdom is often the last to show at a party but always the most welcome when the shit hits the fan.

How true that is Supes.
Too bad wisdom often comes at a price to be paid. I got lucky and got it for a bargain.

Ha that is the way it was with me minus the kids but it was in the late 90's and early 00's. Lost touch with my family for about a decade as well as 4 years of my life! Learned alot from that and got closer with my family due to my asshole ways in the past. More power to those that can maintain but for me I always took it to the extreme.
