I stopped in microcenter today to see if they had any 920s that were packaged before October. While going threw them I found a C batch. Packaged on 9/17/09
Batch 3917C043. So I picked it up cause Ive never seen a C batch.
I havent opened it up yet, I started Googleing an came across 1 post on XS an 1 post on hard forum saying they have one. But noone has posted how the chip clocks or seen any screenies. Has anyone here had one of these chips?

Whoa you might have just snagged a killer chip or from a killer batch as post 3 here shows in his sig to have one at 4.4ghz @ 1.328v load. Not too bad.

Only one way to find out. Pop the top and overclock it!

Rite. I thought I seen that on hardforum. But it was the thread you just posted lol.
Alrite Im about to throw this thing in. The best 920 Ive ever had had a stock Vcore of 1.112 all chips after were 1.24-1.28 stock voltage. Ill post back in a bit see were this chip is at

Just depends on what mobo you are using too. My DFI defaulted mine around there but my Classified puts me around 1.25v. Of course then again I could just be smoking crack and imagined this but pretty sure of this. Wish I still had my DFi to test this theory.

Im on the 759 Classified. All the 920's Ive used had all differant First boot stock Vcore.
After I clock them an run them for a bit, the stock setting is even higher when I go back to default lol like 1.32 an chit.
This chip starts at 1.20 vcore still lowest Ive seen out of my last 5 chips of October an up.
So Im going to Prime this for a few hrs set at 1.00 vcore after vdrop .964 for the heck of it. I wonder If I do that an clear Cmos if the default will be lower???
Time to eat im starvin.

Looks great! I bet you can get the 4.2ghz down some with a little more tweaking. Never thought of under volting (if that's a word) my chip at stock BCLK to see what it can do. Might have to try that one day.

ya I'll work backwards from that point for a 24/7 clock. I had 18 passes in linx at 1.25 vcore an it Bsod on me lol Talk about waiting for the last minutes to bsod.
It does 4.2Ghz 06 benchies at 1.20vcore. Im digging out my Detroit A/C pot lol Ill be doing a session after Christmas
Doing a win 7 32bit install now. Is the 32bit best for most benches? I havent done to much with win7 yet

Here is some more candy, under the chiller this time... was hoping for 5Ghz Cpuz an some Futuremark runs. Chip scales incredibly under cold. was not able to 225 bclock before.
Put it under the chiller an now I get 234.5 at my 4.6Ghz voltages. Ive tried up to 1.55 vcore an it just freezes at 235 bclock. I think it maybe my Patriot 1600mhz ram. I havent tried the next devider down yet.

Yep, very nice. Gutterz, can you make a run for the top wprime32m spot please? :D
You're chiller is always bad-arse.
Top 32m with a 920 is in the neighborhood of 4.64sec I believe.

Havin pump issues atm. The pump dont like to cooperate when its cold or when I shut it down to let the resevoir cool down. I need to get some 5Ghz 3d's an Ive been workin on that 32m too 234 stable, 235 wont make it as far as apply for now.
I can use str8 alky for Dice runs cant I? or must it be Acetone?>

straiht alc works and won't make u nutterz longterm like acetone. But if you're already nutterz like me, you don't care.

I am sooo confused with this 334, 335 talk. You mean 234 and 235? We're talking bclk, right? I would use acetone if I were you. Its cheap and supposedly gets you cooler temps. I have no real world experience though with any thing other than acetone.

opps ment 234 an 235 bclock.
ya Nip 234 bclock will run 32m or Aq3 fine. I bump bclock to 235 an it freezes istantly when applied in Eleet

Some how I missed your RAM issues a bunch of posts up there.
What Patriot RAM do you have, and what vdimm are you using? I had a kit of ELKs 1600s cas 9 that could run well over 2000 9-9-9 as long as It gave it the vitamin V.
The microns scale really well with voltage :)
