should i jump on it ?

it would be a nice break from i7, and it would be going in the CH3 thats in the closet

AMD is a different ball game. That is what is fun about overclocking to me, the challenge. That's also my downfall as once I conquer the challenge I need another, and another, and another...

I never got into the drive strength settings, played with skew a bit on my one rig, that helped quiet a bit.

Anywho from my experiments.

Low HT increases CPU score, for 3d obviously higher HT, although with 1 and 2 4850s anything over I think 1400 yielded no improvement. Higher HT improves GPU more than it hurts CPU.

For those 5000 series stuff.. I have no clue what would be necessary HT link wise but its pretty easy to figure out only take an hour or two :)

As all kits of RAM/MB/CPU's are different these setting may not work for you.

My Memory is the Dominator GT 2000mhz 8-8-8-24 kit for X58. So I binned 2 of the best sticks out of the 3.

This was several days of tunning to get everything just right. I became good friends with MemTest LOL.

There is still a little bit more speed in here I can feel it :)

Plus I have done more tweaking as I moved up in OC, some of the voltage settins have changed also.

Has a little bit of time today and ran these. Need to work on getting faster.
Bro, RAM timings/speed looks good. Unless you can clock RAM or CPU higher, I don't see how you will get faster. Those runs look mighty well dialed in. :toast:

Thanks :)

I slipped up on the last OC's, I was working on 5.4ghz and went nahhh and dialed in 5.2ghz and forgot the adjust the NB, DOH :)

I think I can get a 5.6ghz out of this still, so some more tweaking to do.

Then to go back and get 3D stuff stable.

Awesome. yeah I think you should just work on the CPU/NB speed, everything else seems pretty good.
