Please, share your stories.

Me? Well, yesterday, my wife asked me if I'd go with her someplace on Saturday. I told her, in an firm, unrelenting and determined tone, that I would be benching ALL day. So she bates me "You'd rather be benching than spend some time with me?" and I say "Yep, cuz I haven't been able to bench as much as I'd like cuz work".

Well, she abruptly turned purple at first, then an odd shade of red. I've never seen her look so pissed. Steam from the nose, crinkled red lines on the whites of her eyes and "headshot" scrollling across her eyes. She stormed out of the room. :green8:

I'm thinking WTF! That was wierd
So I go to investigate WTH and low and behold, I'm a deadman "hung:

I've forgotten our wedding anniversary :offhead:

:rroulette: That's how you know you're an Overclockaholic.

That'll put you in the dog house every time.
You just have to make sure to build your dog house big enough for a benching lab.

No no no Supes, you're not an overclockaholic...

you would if you gave your wife a i9 instead of a ring or something and told her:

"each core represents each one of the very wonderful years we've spent together... now how about some benching sugar???":D

You filthy superhero...happy :chaired: anniversary

I know I am an overclockaholic. Supposed to hook up with an old GF this weekend for a little...

Got rescheduled and I dont care! I got a new board, PSU and a burning need for some bointing :) (Instead of Boinking LOL) (okay I do care, but at least I got something good to do)

Happy Anniversary Supes (trust crusty to be the first to think of saying that :) )

Been there, done that. Its easy to get all consumed in computers be it tweaking, benching or anything else. Got a week long vacation at my parents when I got kicked out the house for a week about a year ago!!! That was a valuable lesson I learned that week. The ancient art-form of balance! :)

How do you know you're an overclockaholic ?

You dont even bother putting you PC in a case cause youre always modifiing something... Even if you do, the case MUST be open at ALL TIMES(what if you suddenly wanna mod your GPU ?)

You remember your Win XP serial instead of your relatives birthday...

When you go out for a walk in the city, you look wery weirdly on the aircon units outside the buildings thinking "Ohh if only i had som power tools..."

When you go and get drunk once in a long time(cause most of the time you spend home alone, benching) you calculate how much LN2 could you buy instead of the beer you were going to buy... Finally you decide to go for the LN2 and you either go home, or parasite on someone else...

All your room furniture is laid out exactly to best fit your benching needs, of course none can be stock, all must be modified !

A huge ammount of PC hardware is laying everywhere so between benching, when you occasionally eat, you have to eat on the floor...

Of course "benching language" is a must. Like my mom asked me the other day if i saw our pet(cat) in the room and i replied: "Dunno, she was lying here by default"

Click the signatures tab under the identification section on the left side of HWBot home page. You will then see a bunch of sigs including two of the one you are currently using at the top of the page. The top one will be one you are currently using and the other one that is stored on the remote signature host. Click the force a refresh. Now here is where it gets stupid. For me it refreshed the top sig but not the bottom one. Which ever one it didn't refresh right click that image, and choose "view image" if you are using Firefox. Afterwards, press CTRL+F5 to force a refresh on the image that is being viewed in another tab. If you are using Google Chrome you will have to right click the image, then copy image url and paste it in a new tab and then do the Ctrl + F5 trick. If using Explorer, right click the image, then properties and copy the url within it and paste in new tab. Then Ctrl + F5.

You know you are an overclockaholic when...

You are at work and you rush to finish or get caught up only so you have free time to check the forums.

Or when you go to the rest room to do your daily dispatching of your troops and the first thing you check is to see if you brought your phone to browse the forums while the nukes are getting launched.

Or when ....... I'll get a few more later.
