Really needs some work, there should be a limit on # of threads open by one person.

I think 1 is a good number :)

Why a limit of threads and not a limit of posts?:D
A limit of posts sounds better for me:D
Anyone can open a thread and then disappear!
Let's say at least 30 posts:D

Its currently at 100 posts

The forum is in "Referal Only" mode so its not like we get a bunch of knuckleheads signing up and scamming the for sale section. No Referral, no entry, unless you read the Requirements thread and follow instructions.

We'll look into having active sellers consolidate sales threads into mini-shops.

I try to group my threads into similar items. i.e. 1 thread motherboards, 1 thread for random, 1 thread for RAM etc

If you guys want it all in one humongous, impossible-to-figure-out-whats-sold-and-what-isnt-thread ill do that :)

We'll talk about it more before deciding. In the mean time, do whatever works best for you. If the triangle doesn't fit in the square hole, I usually just blow the whole thing up so that everything fits :D

LOL I am just used to OCF classifieds very neat very organized, sold stuff is moved to a sold section. People that bump their thread 3 times a day lose access. With a larger site like that it works well. We are smaller, so a little self policing would be nice.

Dont want it to look like XS/TPUs F/S sections YIKES!

If someone wants to take the time to mark sold stuff sold or delete sold threads here is a list :)

I just change the title to sold then close the thread.

Yah I saw some people do that. Dont think we peons have that power (last time I tried in vB changing the thread title changes the "secondary" title, not the main link that appears under the forum). DrNip changed his to sold, very helpful :) (And I marked the ones they were title changed to sold).

I am working on updating the thread titles to sold on the ones that are sold. Give me some time as I am at work while trying to do this. It is a lil confusing on what is sold and not sold.

All that is needed is a "sold" sub-forum to move the old posts to. ;)
Pretty straight forward, and should be pretty easy to do.

Yeah I originally set the Marketplace up with a sold section but later scrapped it for what it is now. Looking at the section now it seems to need one as it is clustered. Then it didn't as there was nothing in there. Sorry about the confusion. I was and am a jackfruit.

How do you usually manage thread titles for sold items in forums? Have you considered creating a "sold" sub-forum to streamline the process, or do you prefer the current approach?
