Well today I get home from work hop on the OL pc an within 5 minutes , I hear several pops an a few flames come out my PSU. I run to the plug an yank it out the wall. My room smelled of that fried electronic smell. No cords were warm no bad wires an no water leak from my loop. I have no Idea why it died I was at ideal an just about to do some stress testing when it all happened. All I was running is a Clssified mobo, i7 920 , dvd rom 2 hard drives , ati x1900xt an a water pump. Well under 1kw.
Enermax has approved the RMA since its less than 2yrs old, still suxs I have to gut the pc im on for the psu so I can make sure it didnt take out my board an cpu ect... An on top of it I'm 30 tomarrow ugh can today get better hopefully not worse

I've had one take a "Smoke Break" before but not with the flames and all in the process.

Mr. Scott had one not too long ago do a virtual "Grenade" on him - Burned spots on his desktop with tiny bits and pieces all over the place. I believe it took out some of the hardware when it went - You'd have to ask him about it for details about how that went down.

Good luck with the RMA and maybe the new one will treat you better. Also hoping the hardware survived with no after-effects.

That was a POS TT430. I'm not pissed about the desk, it added character. I'm pissed that it took a good set of BH-5, a X1950 Pro, and a HDD with it. I won't let that happen again.
