Lost stability and first thought it was a RAM issue. All the RAM tested fine though  Then, seemed to trace to the third DIMM socket, but then, each stick tested fine with only the 3rd socket populated ??? Swapped out the RAM from my gamer and had the same problem :ohcrap: Shipped off my 975 to Intel on Monday - new one should be here by a week from Friday :clapping: I'll have a "new" toy to play with until Gulftown arrives :) lol

Bummer. Lets hope they give you a better chip than you sent them.

Whee. Most companies do... my Q6600 I RMAed did 4GHz for someone else :(

Man that bites!
I know the feeling since I've lost a few pieces along the way but it's expected with what we do.
Maybe your next chip will be a golden example and serve you extremely well......

Intel sent me the tracking number on Friday but UPS just shows info was sent. Thinkin it should be here by next thurs/fri :) I grabbed the first one the first day they were available on the egg - hoping this new one will clock better :) We'll see.
In the interim, I put my 920D0 under phase, and it's a pretty solid little chip. Only had it on water before, and on an ASUS r2e... don't think the r2e and a locked proc are a good combo :( Under phase on the classy it did much better :)
