We're very proud of our resident overclocker :D
What is the best birthday gift an overclocker can give to himself? One overclocking marathon, please. Here at Bright Side of Overclocking* HQ in Denmark, we decided to run multiple components through their paces.

The goal of this session was to reach inside HWbot's Top 10 of world's best scores in a benchmark, regardless of what that benchmark actually was. But given our orientation on multiple graphics cards, there was little doubt what "field of expertise" will be our target area.
To see pictures and scores...

Posting an article about running a ES chip than submitting those results to hwbot (and no mention of ES in the submissions) can't that get him in trouble?

Not sure how that all works out TBH.

5.1GHz at -200C though. Thats some cold stuff.

Im pretty sure he mentioned it was an ES, and im also pretty sure that he did hit the CB at one point.

He mentioned the EX processor was an ES sample. The 920 apparently was retail. Still tho, the article coulda specifically listed the achieved temps, cpu batch #s, screenshots, wether or not the ES sample runs were submitted to hwbot and pitted against Retail/Non-ES chips etc. -200c on LN2?

I'm glad you guys had some fun playing with LN2 and joining the rat race.

Agreed. I wish there were pics for each bench or at least just tell us what each bench was ran at. Kinda left us to draw our on conclusion based off the highest CPU-z for each chip for the 2D benches. Same goes for the 3D benches. No SuperPi 32m?

Kinda funny since liquid nitrogen isnt even -200°C. Not to mention even if your i7 can run really cold, it may not be optimal. Jody and others have verified that colder temps can acutally hurt scores (even though the proc isnt coldbugging).

Also this just goes to show that most ES parts arent as good as retail, contrary to popular belief.
