So, first as Iīm new to the forums, let me say Hello to everyone. :)

And now the rig:
When Iīm benching I use my Acer Aspire 5652AWLMI as a 24/7 rig, but when I havenīt what to bench I tag together a desktop from the bench rig components.

So now Iīm running on
Asus P5Q-E with an E8600, 2x1GiB Patriot 1066 eXtreme Performance CL5, MSI N260GTX Lightning and Western Digital WD1001FALS 1 TB in it. All powerred from Akasa 1200W 80+. As a display device I use iiYama ProLite E2208HDS. The CPU is cooled by water in config: Laing DDC-1RT, Black Ice GT 360 Stealt Lite w/ 3x12CM fans, D-Tek Fuzion v1 and a ghetto expansion bottle :D , all other componnet only on air.
But for benching I have here some more component on the shelf like 9600GT, X1600Pro, 6600nonGT, GA-P35-DS4 for odler 775 CPUs, E7300, 1GiB Corsair PC8500 and 1GiB OCZ Reaper PC8500 both w/ D9GHM chips, some HDDs and a lot of burned and bestroyed HW :D. (When I got something new I will post an update)

Here some pics of what I mentioned

Nice setup ORo, welcome to the forum.

Thanks :)

Welcome to the forum ORo! Nice setup and really, really nice e8600. If you ever decide to sell it hit me up!

Thank you, it was the first time I had a lot of luck when I bought it from a local store...so I only need a good Mobo(like REX :D) and Rams to try some SPI action, while my mobo canīt go over 600FSB

donīt worry, if I ever decide to sell it, you will be the first who will know it :)

Not workin on anything new? Waiting for new hardware?

0Ro!
08-16-2009, 06:01 AM
Yes, I am waiting for a HD4890, and the time what I were waiting I will rebench my X1600Pro 256MB DDR3, while some has taken my golden cup on hwbot :D .... so maybe a vmod guide or something like that I will post here and of course the results from benchmarks :)

good setup 0Ro!. Keep us posted on the results :)

Edit: Just saw the pics of the 4890, badass little card, they got sooooo much potential.

sooo two day ago arrived my first core i7 setup based on 1156 socket
MSI P55-GD80
Core i7 860
in pretesting now, results later when I have learned to OC these things :D

Carefull of the "Socket Burn" epidemic that seems to be spreading across the overclockers bow. Apparently the Foxconn sockets suffer while the lotes are o.k.

Anand has an article as well.

Utter den dat, pwn up the benches homie and post up some results for us :D

a day ago a new toy - the most important for benching arrived :cool3:

my first single stage unit made by Duniek

some fotos of the unit

done only quick tests if the unit is working....results maybe tommorow

Looks good man, missing anything else to start benching?

nothing else missing...have everything what needed for good benching - good mobo, rams, some VGAs(not highend:D), maybe a better CPU with higher BCLK were better - mine can only do 210BCLK stable for benchmark pullhair

as you say, and maybe some VGAs too, while working on mounting plate for VGAs :D

Nice!
Thanks

You think that maybe with the cooler temps now it might help you squeeze a little something extra from this CPU?

0Ro!
12-22-2009, 07:14 AM
squeeze higher BCLK from this CPU with cooler temps arenīt possible
the cooler temp only helping by max frequency, and a llittle benchstable frequencies

this CPU  need a better one

Hmmm. You tried adjusting you PCI-E frequency and/or raise the ICH voltage? That helps me tremendously when pushing high BCLK.

0Ro!
12-22-2009, 09:15 AM
Yes I tried raising the PCI-E frequency and playing a long time with the voltages, but nothing helps...

Nice rig! You are like me, no internal water cooling. I can't take it. Need to have it easy assessable and quick to disconnect.:)
